Though of course these can be played with all male, all female or any combo of guests. You can easily swap the roles around as you wish.
How to Host and Play Culinario Mortale Games
As host, you invite your guests round for dinner. The game is about solving a mysterious criminal case. The most notable aspect of the game: You and your guests get to slip into the roles of the main suspects. Each character has their own dark secrets which they’d be better off keeping to themselves. It is only by working together and exchanging information about the crime that the players will have a chance to find the murderer, who is sitting with them at the table.
1. A Recipe For Death
Number of characters: 5 to 7 players. | Setting: New Year’s Eve celebration at a renowned Scottish restaurant.
Plot: The starred chef George McGregor closed his renowned restaurant in the highlands, as he does every year, in order to celebrate New Year’s Eve with his family and employees in an intimate setting.
At 63, George wanted to retire for the new year. That’s why he announced that he would be revealing his successor this evening. Everyone awaited his decision with baited breath. The two chefs, Marcus and Henry, both competing to be George’s successor, served an impressive four-course menu. Everyone ate and drank copious amounts together. But when the fireworks started flaring up on the horizon in the village below, the renowned chef lay dead on the terrace of his own restaurant. 3. Deadly Fame
Number of characters: 5 to 8 players | Setting: Theatre, Shakespeare play opening.
Plot: Welcome to the exciting world of Minebury City Theatre! You have all been working towards this premiere for a long time. “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare. The evening began in front of a full house and promised to be a great success… but at the end of the performance, the tragedy happened. Juliet took the stage dagger and dramatically thrust the bare blade into herself. The audience was enthralled by her impressive performance. 4. Shadow Over Westongrove Manor
Number of characters: 6 to 8 players | Setting: Grand family manor estate, birthday celebration.

5. Expedition of Death
Number of Players: 5-7 | Setting: Peruvian Archaeological Expedition.
Plot: You had expected this expedition to be nothing less than an archaeological miracle. For two months, you’ve all been in the Peruvian rainforest looking for the remains of the Moche people, an advanced South American civilisation that preceded the Incas and has hardly been studied… Late in the afternoon, you finally found the tomb of the priestesses. This important find would have been another milestone in the career of Mary Stonerock, the UK’s youngest professor of archaeology. Mary decided to celebrate the find with a hearty feast and an evening of drinking…

6. Murder at the Grand Hotel
Number of Players: 6-8 | Setting: Ceremonial Opening of the New York Grand Hotel, 1962.
Plot: The opening speeches were full of praise, and the guests ate and drank copious amounts from the five-course menu. The evening had all the hallmarks of an incredible coming-together of American high society. Once the official part of the event was over, the guests gathered for an exuberant cocktail party at the longest hotel bar in the entire city. But the evening took a tragic turn when the young actress Monique Moreau was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel suite late in the evening…
